Southern Railway of British Columbia caboose (SRY A3) on the spurline adjacent to Timberland Road at the Fraser Surrey Docks in Surrey, British Columbia. SRY is one of the few railroads still frequently using cabooses on its trains. Built in 1968 for BC Hydro Railway (BCH) and originally painted turquoise blue, seven cabooses were manufactured in Burnaby by Polygon Metal Fabricators – with four of them still in active service with BC Hydro’s railroad successor SRY.
