Album Info:Nelson Electric Tramway Streetcar #23 is a 2-truck tram built by Stephenson Car Company in 1906. She originally worked in Ohio for Cleveland Forest City Railway and Cleveland Railway Company until 1924. She was then acquired by the City of Nelson and in use until June 20, 1949 when street car service in Nelson ended. She then ended up sold to a dog kennel for $10, and then later converted into a chicken coop. Other ignominy included being used as skating rink shelter and a craft shop. In 1982, the property where she was located was sold and the owner offered her to the City of Nelson for preservation and restoration.
